*Damara feels like vomiting herself after getting a whiff of the room, having sympathy for Cherimoya* "I'm so sorry, Majesty..."
*Damara begins to look for clothing from the more humanoid people, finding Chainmail Armor marked with the Anvil flag from one person, boots and gloves from another person. She silently thanks each one, and says a prayer that each finds rest with whatever God they believed in. She digs through plenty of other people, finally finding a blade that seems about right for her, a nice longsword. Beside the person with the blade she finds a Lyre, which thankfully wasn't torn up. She picks it up, and begins to pluck the strings in time to the tune that Badger is singing, finding it somehow familiar.*
"I've heard this somewhere before..."

*Badger perks up*
"Singing keeps the mind on task.. or sommat of the like. And really?"
*he slinks over to Damara, stepping over several bodies as he does*
"A song, about little old me?"
*he says, before spotting a corpse he hadn't searched yet and riffling through it's possessions.*

The party scavenges around the bodies for anything useful. Cherimoya stands by, clearly disapproving of it, but clearly seeing the necessity.
"I thank you all for your kind words and sympathies. But my grief can wait for the moment. It is far more important for us to reach a relatively safe place."
Each party member finds something that seems useful, or at least valuable. (I rolled all Perception Checks myself, and assigned discovered items to everyone based upon the rolls.)
Badger, on a finger in the mouth of one of the beastmen, apparently bitten off of one of the blue-skinned humanoids, finds a ring with a black band and a small yellow stone. It glows so very faintly that it is almost unnoticeable. Though Badger can't tell if it's just a trick of the light or if it has some magical property.
Damara finds, hidden under a small pile of various bodies, a roll of cloth buckled closed. Upon opening it, she finds ten perfectly serviceable throwing knives. They don't seem to be magical or special in any way, but they are well balanced.
Kenshin finds nothing but a few gold coins (sorry).
And finally, Evette (who rolled a nat. 20), as she is going through the coat of a man with purple skin with white lines running through it, she discovers a hidden pocket. Inside is a blue stone, barely larger than a pebble. It has been smoothed to a reflective sheen and has an intricate rune carved into it. Evette, running it through her hands, knows what this is. With her knowledge of the Arcane arts slowly coming back to her, she is able to identify it as an Ioun Stone. It is difficult to be certain, because the rune carved on it is only vaguely familiar to her, but it appears to be an Ioun Stone of Protection (grants AC+1).
Altogether, the party finds a total of 400 gold pieces to split amongst themselves.
(Note: Ioun Stones, for those who don't know, are magical stones that, when activated orbit around the head of its owner and grant them bonuses. However, they must be activated every encounter using a Minor Action. If you forget to activate it, it will not count.)

Evette examines the interesting stone she found, feeling some power emanating from it. While she can't quite place its origins- her memory has not fully returned to her- she tucks it into a pouch in her new armor, sensing that it will be useful in the future.
She eyes the gold warily, vaguely remembering that money has been the cause of disputes among companions in her past adventures.
"So...how much should we all take?"

*Damara looks over the throwing knives, feeling no special affinity them offers them to the party* "Hmm... Anyone use these? Evette, I personally think we should divide the gold up evenly, just in case something should happen to one of us... At least for the moment. If we need more gold to purchase something, we can discuss it. So 100 each should do just fine."

*Badger studies the ring for a moment, sniffs it a few times... then places it in a pouch to be examined more thoroughly later.. in better light. At Evette's interjection, he eyes the pot avariciously then grimaces.... he'd rather have it all, but the odds are surely not in his favour and someone... might have told him that one always splits the take... though he can't remember who... or when... or why..*
"Even split, I reckon. Fair is fa-"
*As Damara offers her knives up Badger swoops in*
"Me! Me! I think Me!"
*He scoops a knife up, tests it's balance and tosses it at the chest of the nearest corpse.*

( It's ok, like I said in my I was busy.)
*Kenshin takes his fair share and stands at the end of the passage waiting for everyone to finish. He wants to say a prayer but is unsure what to say, so he remains silent. After a moment he goes back into a half crouch and sniffs the air slightly, ready to continue.*

Evette takes her share and steps back uncertainly, waiting for an indication that they are proceeding.

Each party member receives 100 gold. Badger receives an Unidentified Ring and ten throwing knives (assuming Damara hands them over). And Evette receives an Ioun Stone of Protection +1. Badger tosses a throwing knife and it hits one of the beastmen in the shoulder. Cherimoya gives Badger a disapproving look, but says nothing. The throwing knives a nicely balanced and perfectly functional, if not a bit plain. "If we're done disrespecting the dead," Cherimoya says, perhaps a bit harsher than she meant, "then we should be on our way. I can lead us through here the quickest way possible. Once we get into the castle, there is an escape tunnel hidden under my throne. We can take that to a safe area to rest, and then I will explain myself completely." She begins to lead the party through the hallway to the right. As they travel, the dead bodies become less numerous, but you begin to see more and more bodies of golems and smaller artificial creatures. These must be the homunculi that Cherimoya mentioned. After some time of walking through identical looking hallways, Cherimoya says, "I only hope the Daedalans in the castle aren't too numerous. I think they would have taken everyone out of the castle and then went to control the populace. The guards inside should be minimal. Otherwise, we may have a struggle on our hands." Before she can say anymore, the party hears voices coming from around the corner. You can hear two distinct, high-pitched voices. "Look at this mess! How did we miss this?" says one of the voices. "We'd best start cleaning this up before the Queen sees it. I'd hate to upset her," says the other. Carefully looking around the corner, you see three figures. Two small, earth-colored, imp-like creatures with long claws and small, useless-looking wings are accompanied by a large, metal creature resembling a dog of some kind. The two imps are attempting to drag a particularly large beastman body away while the dog sits on its haunches, facing away from you. They are all to preoccupied to notice you. "Those are some of the homunculi that guard the labyrinth," Cherimoya whispers, "It's amazing that they survived. They should still be loyal to me, but what do you think? Should I try speaking to them?"

"Dog! Not sure if I like dogs. Or brown men...with wings... and a dog..."
*Badger flips one of his newly-acquired knives across his fingers as if contemplating something... At the last moment, he tosses the knife up and catches it then places it back in it's brace*
"Yeah, alright. No sense antagonizing the help...."

*Damara surveys the Homunculi, and nods* "Yes. I think you should attempt to talk to them. If they're loyal, we can use them to find out more. If they aren't... Well... It'll give us more intelligence on the situation we're in."

*Kenshin bares his teeth in a snarl sets his feet for a fight. Shield at the ready and hand on his sword, not unsheathing.* "(Growls) You may speak with them My-Lady, but be careful with your current state who knows where their loyalties lie."

Evette feels like she recognizes these creatures and racks her brain for information, closing her eyes in concentration.

Cherimoya nods at the party and steps around the corner.
"You three!" she says, addressing the homunculi, "You will lead me and my companions to the throne room."
"This is going to take a great deal of time to clean," says one of the imp-like homunculi. "Where do we even bring these?"
"Excuse me!" says Cherimoya indignantly, "Leave the bodies for later, and accompany me to the exit!"
"Just get them into a pile first. We have plenty of time. It's not like anybody ever comes down here," says the other homunculus, "the Queen won't find out."
"The Queen is right here, you foolish creatures!" Cherimoya says, now waving her arms to get their attention. She must not be used to being ignored and she's becoming very frustrated. It seems the homunculi cannot even perceive her.
"Hey, weren't there some people coming through here some hours ago. Wasn't the Queen with them?" says the first one.
"Were there? That sounds familiar. But I can't seem to remember when that was or where they were going. I remember seeing the Queen and her royal guard charging through here in a rush. Then... maybe some other people after that? And then I remember running as fast as I could away from them only to come back here to our post and find this great big mess."
In her frustration, Cherimoya kicks at the head of the closest homunculi to no avail. Her foot moves harmlessly through it.
They are dragging the body closer and closer to the corner and closer to the party. Their backs are to you, but you will be noticed soon.
Evette sneaks a look at the homunculi and scours her brain for some memory of them (Arcana Check). She is familiar with these creatures. Homunculi are artificial creatures normally created using metal or earth and a hefty dose of magic. They are similar to golems, but much smaller and less dangerous. Evette also recognizes these specific kinds of homunculi. The brown, imp-like ones are called Clay Scouts and the metal dog is called an Iron Defender.

*Badger crouches low at the corner, drawing one of the throwing knives and getting a rough look at the positioning of the trio using the blade as a poor-man's mirror. He then turns to his companions and whispers*
"I fancy that we could probably take the midgy ones without much trouble. Not sure about the dog..."
*He glances at his surroundings before returning his attention to the conversation*
"If it were a normal dog I reckon we could distract it with a steak.. If we had a steak.. But this is a metal dog.. Hmm... Do metal dogs eat metal steaks?"
