*Damara physically restrains Badger and stops short of smacking the back of his head* "Don't hurt them yet, I have an idea. Gimmie a shard."

"He's made of iron, I suppose we could always throw water on him and wait for him to rust?" Evette jokes lamely. She clears her throat.
"I've seen creatures like this before- not sure where. But still...I'm not sure if you're right about the Clay Scouts being easy to take down, Badger- they're talking, reacting, not at all like automatons one would expect. We might be dealing with some level of rudimentary intelligence."

*Badger makes an attempt to slip out of Damara's grip*(I do believe that that is an acrobatics check)
"In my experience, dear lady, 'rudimentary' intelligence is far more trouble than something with no brains a'tall."

*Kenshin slowly unsheathes his sword behind his shield. Then whispers...*
"Be quick Damara, I grow tired of hiding like some rodent in a bush."

After a moment of struggling against Damara, Badger finds that she has a surprisingly effective grip on him. After some wriggling, the two find themselves in the exact same position that they started (your rolls tied at a total of 11). Luckily, you did not make enough noise to attract the attention of the homunculi.
"Fagan, just hand her a shard!" Cherimoya says like a tired mother to her difficult child, "If she has a plan, I'd like to hear it. I'd prefer we avoid the wanton destruction of three perfectly good homunculi if we can help it."

"You have a firm grip. That can be a lovely trait in a woman."
*Badger makes a sort of clicking noise with his tongue and digs into his pouch pulling out a shard and holding it up for her to take.*

*Damara allows Badger to go free, smiling to herself and then takes the shard* "Alright, in doing this, we'll give up our advantage, but if our queen is tied to these shards... Maybe if we touch one to them, it'll make them able to see her? It's just a thought. We can throw it at them. If she doesn't immediately appear to them, we can rule out them being allies and attack like the some of you want."

Evette nods at the others, clutching her shard and awkwardly bracing herself for the coming skirmish.

"Much as I like the idea of bunging rocks at things... I think this plan requires more finesse"
*Without further consultation Badger draws a second shard from his pouch and sneaks up on his 'quarry'*
(Stealth check please!)

The Clay Scouts seem completely oblivious to anything beyond the task at hand. The Iron Defender's metal ear twitches at Badger's approach, but it does not turn its head, so Badger is able to sneak right up behind the Scouts without attracting any unwanted attention. (Stealth- 14+8=22 vs. Perception: Success)
What does Badger do now that he's there? If he doesn't act quickly, the Clay Scouts will bump right into him.

*Badger keeps pace with the homunculi and motions to Cherimoya then dropping his right hand to his right dagger hilt before touching the stone to the back of the left homunculus' head.*

Cherimoya walks out into the hallway and awaits Badger's plan to come to fruition.
As inattentive as the homunculi have been thus far, they would not fail to notice something actually touching their heads. As soon as Badger makes contact with it, the homunculus turns its head. After just a cursory glance at Badger, it yells, "Daedalan!"
Without hesitation, the other Clay Scout and the Iron Defender turn towards the call and charge Badger.
"No!" Cherimoya yells, "Stand down! Do not harm him!"
Unfortunately, the homunculi still do not seem to see her. It seems that the shards have nothing to do with a creature's ability to perceive Cherimoya, and rather the homunculi's brains, or whatever they have that equates to brains, simply cannot comprehend whatever Cherimoya has become. (That was a good idea, though.)
As soon as Cherimoya sees that they do not listen, she turns to the others. "It's not working! Hurry and help him!"
As for right now, Badger now has three angry homunculi coming for him. (But seeing as he had an action prepared before angering them, he has time to take an action before a battle will officially begin, whether it's running away, attacking, or whatever.)

"Well, that went about as well as I expected."
*Badger Smirks and flips over his assailants, drawing his daggers in the process and striking deftly, using the strikes to pull himself back over them and cartwheeling back to the party.*
(In theory. Using Badger's Encounter Power: Acrobat's Blade Trick. If I am more than 2 spaces away from them, or miss one or both, I will also use Escape Artist's Trick to shift the additional space or two.)

( If you would be so kind as you settle initiatives to describe all of our relative locations as this will affect choices in battle and powers. )
